"How to Build a Brain Monitor"
Dr Gemma Bale builds wearable tools to measure brain activity in places where conventional brain imaging isn’t possible. Normally this means a hospital bedside, but in this talk, she will take a tour through some of the most unusual places she designed brain monitoring for. From a dog lab in Hungary, to free divers in Croatia, and even a music festival in South Wales. she'll talk about the engineering challenges involved and discuss what we can learn about the brain in its natural environment.
